Welcome to the Council Rock United Soccer Association 2008 FALL Intramural Registration page. Our Intramural program is one of the largest in the area and is open to all interested soccer players from ages 3-19. (Players born between 8/1/1989 and 7/31/2005) Please note, if your child wants to attend tryouts for travel, please use the Fall Travel Registration page.
Online registration after July 1st will incur a late fee of $15. After July 31st, registrations may be limited to the space available in each age group. Please contact us at admin@crusa.net if you have any questions about the registration fees and policies of our club.
The season begins the first weekend after Labor Day in September and runs for 10 weeks except on holidays. All games are played at Richboro Elementary, Richboro Middle School or Holland Elementary for the youngest age groups. For the fall season, ages 6 and older will play their games on Saturdays and ages UNDER 6 will play on either Saturday or Sunday Also, we cannot say for certain what times the games will be for each age group until all registrations are completed. Team practice days and times vary by team based on their individual choices but typically one time per week in the early evening.
CRUSA provides a shirt and socks for each child participating in the Intramural Program. Parents are expected to provide shorts, adequate footwear (sneakers or soccer cleats) and shin guards. A Copy of the Birth Certificate is required for FIRST TIME players. (Please mail copy of birth certificate to: CRUSA PO Box 839 Richboro PA 18954) The registration fee for the 2008 Fall season is $ 110 per child with a family maximum of $300 per household. Please note that our registration fees include: Players insurance, referee fees, thorough back ground checks of all club officials, coaches and referees, field usage and maintenance, game jersey and socks, team pictures, participation award (for the younger age groups) and club sponsored training and clinics.
The goals of the Intramural program are to develop an interest in soccer, introduce basic soccer skills and to have fun! At the younger ages, the emphasis should be exclusively on having fun, learning the basics of the game and getting all players involved in the game. Our club will be supplying expert trainers to run basic skills training sessions prior to each weeks games at the younger ages (3-5 year olds) and all game conditions will be small sided play where everyone is involved in the game. The objective at the youngest ages is purely to have fun, gain basic soccer experience and not to keep score. As players get older, having fun is still the number one priority but keeping score and having referees become part of the routine. All players and parents are reminded that player development and enjoying the game are what intramurals is all about and to always support and cheer their child’s effort and not the only the results.
